I gave a concert last night at Alice Lloyd College n Kentucky.
It took me a while to get to the audience, but when we connected it turned out to be a wonderful event. Again, there were moments of pure silence. Everyone's favorite piece was Koyunbaba, but they liked the Mompou transcriptions as well - I played nos. 4, 6, 8, and 11.
There is no doubt in my mind now that these transcriptions work extraordinarily well for guitar and will eventually be played by other guitarists. They are new and different, and audiences love them.
In addition I played Fairest Lord Jesus, Afro-Cuban Lullaby, and Sunburst.
The college improves every time I play there, and I hope to be invited back.
