     I spent a week in Rochester, New York last July doing research for Mompou at the Eastman Sibley Music Library. The search was very fruitful, yielding, among other things, a wonderful book in English - Le Jardon retrouvé: The Music of Frederic Mompou. By Wilfred Mellers. Ilustrations by Robin Hildyard.     A very deep, and well written book, which expounds on the social and cultural history Spain before going into Mompou's life and works.

    In addition, I was able to locate several well-written articles that have helped me better  understand the composer.
